French Meadow Bakery offers a lineup of gluten-free baked goods that are certified Gluten-Free by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization. We were honored to test French Meadow Bakery’s delicious products, specifically their Gluten-Free Tortillas and Fudge Brownies.
The fudge brownies are to die for. You store them in the freezer, yet they stay soft and moist. You can pop them in the microwave or toaster oven to heat them up if you like. Each brownie comes individually wrapped and is small enough to not make you feel like you have to dash to the gym.
My staff and I agree that these brownies are not only good for being a gluten-free dessert, but are amazing in general even compared with non-gluten-free desserts. My daughter keeps raving about these brownies, and she is a bit of a chocolate snob, so I know any chocolate lover would really enjoy these.
The fact that they are individually wrapped allows you to do a lot with them. They can be given as an afterschool treat because they are not too big, or they can be enjoyed with a big scoop of ice cream for you and your spouse to share.
One of my testers described them as “homemade-tasting.” I couldn’t agree with her more. If you put them on a platter, nobody would know they are pre-baked or gluten-free. As you bite into the snack-size brownie your teeth sink into the top and bottom layers as if it was fresh chocolate fudge. I could go on and on about Fresh Meadow Bakery’s brownies, but my stomach is starting to growl and I’m beginning to salivate!
French Meadow Bakery’s gluten-free tortillas come six to a bag. You can store them in the refrigerator for freshness or place them in the freezer so they last longer. They are gluten-free, lactose-free, casein-free and peanut-free. These tortillas do have some corn starch in their ingredients but are corn- free. They may be free of a lot of things, but that doesn’t mean they lack flavor.
Having gluten-free tortillas on hand is a must in any kitchen. They allow you to make delicious meals in a flash. I made enchiladas with them, and they were devoured in a matter of minutes. For kids, you can put grated cheese in them to make quesadillas and add grilled chicken for extra protein.
According to their website, www.FrenchMeadow.com, French Meadow Bakery® is the longest established certified organic bakery to run continuously in the United States. Their products are available in stores nationally, and while their website doesn’t have an online store, you can use the store locator to find where French Meadow Bakery® products can be found near you. You’ll definitely want to add their fudge brownies and tortillas to your gluten-free pantry.

Thank you for your recommendations. They are always appreciated. There are SO many gluten free bakeries out there that I get overwhelmed just thinking about trying a new one! I have made a list of all the ones I want to try and I’m going to keep notes on how I like their products so I can remember them in the future. I have marked down French Meadow Bakery as one to try.
I wholeheartedly agree with you on French Meadow’s tortillas. They are really good! They don’t fall apart like other gluten free tortillas I’ve had. I keep them around all the time in the fridge and make quesidillas a lot when I run out of lunch or snack options. It’s so easy and quite the crowd pleaser in my house.
I just wanted to say that I’m so glad when companies individually wrap things like these brownies because that way each brownie seems like a complete snack or treat in itself. Otherwise, I gobble up the whole box!
Oh cool, I’ve been looking for some good gluten-free tortillas. I will have to try this brand out. So far I haven’t found any that I truly like. If anyone has any other good tortillas recommendations, please let me know! Thanks so much. Yamilla
