Thank you soooo much for putting this up! After your nut crust recipe last week, when you mentioned tofu pie filling, I grew very curious about trying a chocolate tofu pie. I looked through some recipes but they just didn’t seem right. This one seems very simple though so I can’t wait to try it. Thank you!
I actually just made this for my kids as a pudding without the pie crust just out of curiosity to see how they’d like it and they LOVED it! I will do this again but I was thinking about making little teeny tiny pies next time because my kids get such a kick out of them (okay…and so do I!).
I love tofu pies. They’re so simple and easy to make and they’re high in protein too! Who needs gelatin or gluten? Not me!
Wow it’s been such a long time since I’ve left a comment! I love tofu chocolate pie filling. I’m going to put this in your amazing nut flour pie crust you just posted the other week. So excited!
Hi Tina I heard about this recipe from the celiac listserv. I really like that it doesn’t have that much sugar in it. I’m going to give it a try for Thanksgiving and use your “Amazing Nut Flour Crust” too!
I love chocolate pudding pie so much it’s always my favorite but I haven’t made it since I’ve gone gluten free. This tofu one seems like an awesome substitute and that soy protein is good for you too. Boy, this picture looks soooo good I’m even thinking about making a pie ahead of Thanksgiving just to “make sure” it comes out right! LOL!
I like the idea of using ramekins for this! They always seem so cute and special when people are used to big pie shells.
This was FANTASTIC! I recommended it to my friends and two of them are going to be making it for Thanksgiving! I swear I like it more than regular chocolate pudding pie!
That’s funny, my husband is a big chocolate lover too, and ironically, I’m not very big into chocolate at all! I showed him this picture of the chocolate filling and he nearly died and asked me to make it for him. He was very excited even though it was made from tofu. He said that it can’t look as good as it does in the picture and not taste good too!
