Try this! Try sweetening with stevia, a non-caloric herbal sweetener extracted from the leaf of a South American plant. It is even said to be a good sweetener for diabetics. It also is a strengthener for the pancreas. Stevia has no effect on blood sugar levels nor does it promote cavities or yeast overgrowth.
Stevia is 100-300 times sweeter than sugar. Avoid powdered stevia products diluted with fillers, such as FOS. Look for pure stevia powder and clear liquid, as this is my recommendation.
Sugar = Stevia Powder or Stevia Liquid
1 cup = 1 teaspoon = 2 teaspoons
½ cup = ½ teaspoon = 1 teaspoon
1/3 cup = 1/3 teaspoon = 2/3 teaspoon
¼ cup = ¼ teaspoon = ½ teaspoon

This is great information. I’ve learned that it is very important that the stevia be pure because it’s not, it could effect the taste. If you don’t like the taste of stevia you might want to find out your company’s stevia is extracted from the leaf. Most extract their stevia using chemicals like ethanol, methanol, solvents, or a combo of them. SweetLeaf stevia is the only one where through extraction only pure water touches the leaves.
Stevia really is a delicious alternative. So much better than Nutrasweet. Great article!
