General Mills Offers Gluten-Free Bisquick® and Hamburger Helper®

Attention, Bisquick® fans! Bisquick® mix has been an American staple since the product arrived on grocery store shelves in 1931. Luckily for the gluten-free community, General Mills has now made a gluten-free Bisquick® available to the public, as well as three flavors of gluten-free Hamburger Helper® in Chicken Fried Rice, Cheesy Hashbrowns, and Beef Fried Rice.

General Mills is continuing to demonstrate its commitment to meeting the needs of the gluten-free community, having already offered a fantastic variety of gluten-free products by Yoplait®, Betty Crocker®, Chex®, Green Giant®, and Progresso® soup. In the past, living gluten-free required expensive trips to specialty shops and health food stores or costly online ordering—not anymore!

Gluten-free Bisquick® mix is sure to be well-received by the gluten-free community, many of whom can use the product not only for pancakes but a number of other recipes, such as pies, scones, cakes, and biscuits. Recipe ideas are given at the company’s website, http://bisquick.com, as well as at http://glutenfreehelp.info/recipes.

  1. My family is very excited about the position of General Mills on Gluten Free products. We continued to enjoy many of their products YET we have some concerns about the most recent release of Bisquick and the size/volume in the box. It says it makes 11 pancakes, yet for a family of 5, we have to buy 2 boxes to provide 1 sitting for breakfast. I’m sure many of you would agree once you’ve purchased 1 box. I feel this is deceptive and should be revisited!
